On November 18th, the groundbreaking ceremony for Prinx Chengshan's Malaysia factory was grandly held in Kedah Rubber City, Kedah. This is a key milestone in Chengshan Group's globalization strategy, marking the formal establishment of its overseas production layout of "China + Thailand + Malaysia".
In his speech, Che Hongzhi, Chairman of Chengshan Group, emphasized that the Malaysia factory, as another overseas strategic foothold for the group after the Thailand base, will form an overseas "twin star" pattern with the Thailand factory. This will not only significantly increase the scale of global production capacity, build a more resilient global supply chain network, and serve global customers faster and better, but also has significant strategic importance for Chengshan Group to achieve sustainable and high-quality development.
Chengshan Group's Malaysia factory is planned to occupy 102.63 acres of land, and the first phase will have an annual production capacity of 6 million high-end passenger car tires and 600,000 commercial vehicle tires.
The factory draws heavily on the mature experience of two smart factories in China and Thailand, constructing three functional areas: production area, R&D office area, and living area. It integrates six core zones: raw material warehouse, building workshop, rubber mixing workshop, curing workshop, semi-finished product workshop, and testing workshop, to achieve a lean layout for the entire production process. The specially planned fully automated intelligent warehouse will establish an unmanned scheduling chain from raw material warehousing to finished product warehousing. Combined with 5G digital collaboration and intelligent quality inspection systems, it will create an Industry 4.0 production scenario characterized by "fewer people, higher efficiency, and higher precision".
Adhering to the concept of "manufacturing and nature coexisting", the project will integrate green development throughout the entire construction and operation cycle. Furthermore, it will not only focus on tire manufacturing, but also strive to drive the coordinated development of local upstream and downstream industries.
