Cologne, Germany — Indian tyre manufacturer Ralson has unveiled its truck‑and‑bus radial (TBR) tyre expansion plan during The Tire Cologne trade fair. The firm will add 1.2 million units of TBR production capacity at its Indore plant over an 18‑month period to boost its export footprint across Europe.

Ralson’s dedicated TBR facility in Indore produced its first tyre in October 2022 and began commercial deliveries in February 2023. The plant currently holds a name‑plate capacity of one million TBR tyres per year and is operating at approximately 85 % capacity utilisation. Surging market orders have prompted the latest capacity‑expansion investment.
Company executives noted the Indore site spans 100 acres, of which only around 30 percent has been developed so far. Subject to future investment, the campus has the potential to scale up to an annual output of as many as 5 million TBR tyres, offering ample room for further global‑export‑oriented growth.
Originally a leading Indian producer of bicycle tyres, Ralson has moved aggressively into heavy‑duty commercial‑vehicle tyres in recent years. Europe and North‑America sit at the core of its export strategy, and the brand has built a network of local dealer partners within Europe. Its TBR product portfolio complies with key regional certifications including ECE and 3PMSF for the European market.
