Recently, a batch of giant off-the-road (OTR) tires featuring Triangle Tyre's innovative adhesion protection technology were loaded and shipped from Huasheng Factory. These tires will arrive at the Deo Nai Coal Mine located in Quang Ninh Province, Vietnam.

As critical components for heavy-duty machinery such as mining dump trucks and large loaders, the reliability of giant OTR tires directly impacts the operational efficiency and safety of the mining and excavation industry. Faced with complex and diverse working conditions, giant tire products exhibit the characteristics of "segmented application and regional customization". Variations in climate, excavation environments, and mineral types result in vastly different performance requirements for such tires.
In the hot, humid, and rainy Southeast Asian region, giant OTR tires commonly suffer from the pain points of short service life and high wear rate. Mines in Quang Ninh, Vietnam, are mostly open-pit lignite mines with extremely harsh operating conditions: summer temperatures can soar to 40 degrees Celsius, the rainy season lasts up to six months, and humidity exceeds 80%. Under such extreme heavy-load, rough-terrain, and high-temperature/high-humidity environments, giant tires are more prone to aging and delamination, with the abnormal scrappage rate reaching as high as 20%. The market has long been in urgent need of a more robust, durable, and stable solution.
To address this industry bottleneck, Triangle's R&D team spent three years overcoming formidable technical challenges and officially launched the "EnsureX Efficient Technology" adhesion protection system for giant OTR tires. This groundbreaking technology resolves the long-standing industry issue of adhesion failure between rubber polymers and steel cord in heavy-duty engineering machinery applications. The next-generation giant tires integrated with this technology have seen delamination failures reduced by over 95% and service life extended by more than 15%.
This innovative technology—a cobalt-free compound formulation combined with a coated steel cord adhesion system—centers on high-performance cobalt-free adhesion systems and gradient adhesion layer distribution technology. Through precise formulation and process design, cobalt elements are completely eliminated, achieving three major breakthroughs:
1. Superior fatigue resistance: A flexible coating with ultra-strong adhesion is formed by developing specialized adhesion compounds and multi-alloy plating, perfectly adapting to the high-frequency deformation demands of giant tires under heavy-load conditions.
2. Enhanced anti-aging performance: The technology improves the "dynamic toughness" and anti-aging capacity of the interface, ensuring an uniform and dense interface structure. Adhesion strength is increased by over 40%, guaranteeing structural integrity throughout the tire's entire service life.
3. Long-lasting corrosion protection: Corrosion resistance is more than three times that of traditional adhesion systems. Ideal for harsh environments such as tropical and coastal regions, it significantly enhances tire service life, safety performance, and retreadability.
Currently, the 49-inch and 57-inch product series manufactured with this technology have successfully passed rigorous field tests in mining operations.
